Metal Rules! Radio is a podcast devoted to metal interviews, reviews and discussion. The podcast began as a magazine and re-launched in audio format. Associated Content contributor Tara Clapper spoke with Angus of Metal Rules! and learned she liked Viking metal.
I have only toured with Atrocious Abnormality so far and we had a blast and the 11 day Slaughtering The South II tour. Bands I wish I could tour with.there are just so many big and small and for different reasons.
A: (Laughs) Originally, we wanted to do a band video, but there was just no way for us to get together. The next best thing was to use some previous footage we had from the recording. We kind of wanted to share that with our fans anyway. We’d been in the studio for two months, so there was quite a lot of footage. As a result, one of the assistants in the studio at completion was also video creator and editor and came up with this idea to make it unique and different. Hence, the old man going nuts and finding our VHS tape or whatever. And when we saw the results, we were like, “This is awesome! This is different.” After all, there are so many videos of bands playing empty warehouses and stuff, so this was something else, and it showcases another side of the band.
Signal-to-noise ratio and THD are both numbers that use a similar process for evaluation. You’ll be centrally compare these numbers to other amplifiers in a group that you’re looking at. You want signal-to-noise ratio to be high and THD to be low.
What is heavy metal? Well, like most genres, it can be divided into a number of sub genres as they are called. For example, there is death metal, thrash metal, black metal, classic metal, doom metal, folk metal, metalcore / hardcore, progressive metal, power metal, and many others. On top of that, each of the mentioned genres can be broken down even further with their own sub genres.
All band know the importance of making it in the States, especially because the entire metal world seeks looks to bands the American crowds approve and follow the lead. We have a quite small following, especially in the cities and we are putting up a fight but no more to succeed or progress or get bigger.
This looks like it’ll be an exciting show — it’s the spirit of the old school riding high again and, if we’re lucky, carrying on the best tradition of metal.
