Still cow horns or antlered animal horns are not preferred. But Paul’s words also reflect his direct ordination as an apostle and bishop by Christ Himself. That is what God requires and that is what our community desires.

Why do they fight? The Sunnis and Shiites coexist in most Arabic countries. Night and day cannot exist at the same time.
So I’ve been labeled a bad Jew by some of the fellow members of the tribe. and that’s okay because I’ve dated outside my religion since high school. Personally, I am a spiritual person who believes in the laws of the universe, is definitely into energy and karma, and who believes in some sort of higher power.
In Biblical and Torah texts, the Promised Land was noted to be a place overflowing with milk and honey. So, its not surprising that during Rosh Hashanah honey is part of the culinary custom. On the first night of the holiday, Jews dip challah and offer a blessing over the bread. Next, apples are dipped into honey and a prayer for a sweet year is offered.
So, is the Book of Life figurative or literal? Is it a poetic or a concrete use of words? I believe it is both. If God plays a hand in our destiny, then it might be that our fate is sealed already. However, we are told that “t’shuvah, tefillah and tzedakah” (repentance, prayer and charity) can change God’s decree. If this is so, we can create – or co create – our fate for the year. We can change God’s mind, if it were. We help God write our page in the Book of Life for the coming year – or for our whole life.

The bottom line is that I am not here to bash religion at all. Whatever you believe is fine with me. If you want to go to church every Sunday, go for it. If you want to go to Temple, more power to you. If you’re a Buddhist, good for you.
