Rock Examiner: So I just saw Godsmack on the Mayhem Festival, which seemed to be a good tour for the band to be on this summer. How was the experience for you guys?
Nick: Not much at the moment. We’re starting the recording process in September and will be touring through the end of the year. It’s always a slow process for us, but we’re hoping to have our first full length done by this time next year.

Scout Bar, which Wilder said has a capacity of 700, quickly became a favorite among the metal crowd in San Antonio when it opened in the spring of 2008. Although Scout Bar’s capacity isn’t on the same level as the Verizon’s 20,000-plus capacity, Scout Bar was lauded for its intimacy. The quality of its acts — which included Five Finger Death Punch, Chevelle, DevilDriver, Sevendust, In This Moment, Great White, Dokken, Drowning Pool, Testament, 10 Years, Riot (featuring San Antonio drummer Bobby Jarzombek) and George Lynch — was at least on par with a venue that housed thousands more.
