In any case, we constantly experience a combination of destiny or fate and conscious or subconscious creation and cocreation.

Since Rosh Hashanah is Hebrew for “head of the year,” some Jews serve the head of animals as part of their meal. Many opt for the head of a fish. In this tradition, the fish is symbolic of many things. The eyes of the fish denote knowledge, because the eyes of the fish are always open. For others, the fish is seen as a symbol of prosperity and fertility. After the fish is placed on the table, the common prayer asking that the family be more like leaders than followers is made.

If we use this time wisely, by reflecting on our past actions, regretting our mistakes and sincerely vow never to repeat them, we will be forgiven and sealed in the Book of Life. This is the accepted tradition.

The U.S. should have nothing to do with the Iraq War. Our government knows nothing about the internal functioning of their culture and Islam as a way of life and being is unfathomable to Christian Americans. No matter who you put into power as president in Iraq today, it will always be contested because the leader will always be biased towards their sect (Sunni or Shiite) and one or the other will always end up being discriminated.

There are several different types of exotic shofars available today as well like ones which are made from the horns of antelopes, onyx, eland, gemsbok etc. if you want the classic shofar go for the traditional one.

The chill in the air in September can be the perfect way to make your reception a warm cozy affair. Take your cues from the colors of the season and you’ll have a wonderful fall reception. Be mindful not to over lap with the other special occasions in September and you’ll have a wedding reception that will be long remembered.
