However, I do have the ability to keep rhythm with a beat metronome and I am able to play melodies along with beats. I told myself when I graduated that I wasn’t gonna get a job, a regular 9-5. All i can say is that i highly reccomend buying a copy.
Now that the summer season has officially began, Little Five Points will see a lot more good-quality music and entertainment, and it won’t hesitate to slap everyone in the face! Here are a few highlighting shows for the week.
That’s exactly what seasoned drummers Michael Travis and Jason Hann had in mind when they formed EOTO in 2006. Hann talked about the band’s electrifying improvisation before a recent gig in Atlanta.
Think About It (Lyn Collins) – Rob Base & DJ E-Z Rock’s popular hip hop club hit “It Takes Two” has used the funk classic beat “Think (About It) as its loop sample.
Impeach The President (The Honey Drippers) – This seemed to be preferred mostly by everyone to sample it rather than remake it. This was not only famously used in hip hop, but also in R&B and other genres. Several hip hop songs have sampled this that include Mr. Loveman by Shaggy, Bitch by Meredith Brooks, and Janet Jackson’s That’s The Way Love Goes.
Hip Hop samples are actually bits of recorded music taken out from previous copies to be used in creating new songs. This has become popular to knock over and was significantly used to build the basis of hip hop.
I remember the popular slogan, “One Drug, One love”- which summed up in a nutshell that only ecstasy could help you hear this music correctly, and any other drug was not only unnecessary- but shunned. Other slogans began to turn up in later years, as more dangerous drugs creeped into the underground. “Together we stand- Divided we fall OUT”- explained that if we didn’t watch each other, the scene would not only collapse, but you may end up in the hospital.
After the release of Nineteen Naughty Nine: Nature’s Fury, a dispute regarding finances developed between Kay Gee and Treach, with Treach blaming Kay Gee for squandering the group’s finances. Due to these disagreements DJ Kay Gee decided to leave Naughty by Nature in late 2000. He started to develop his own record label Divine Mill. The remainder of the group, Treach and Vin Rock, released an album in 2002 called IIcons, using a variety of different producers including Da Beatminerz; the album, however, received a lukewarm reception from the public. IIcons is their last album to date.
